Year 2023 - Education Mission .

On Wednesday, 27 December 2023, the TCF team and guests from California, USA, traveled to the mountainous village of Nam Dong district to donate 500kgs rice, 400 warm jackets, 150 blankets, and 500 notebooks to 380 Huong Hữu primary school students. Most students at Hương Hưu are from the Katu ethnic minority. Due to the poor economy and the lack of material necessities, the lifestyle is tough in Nam Dong. Most students at Huong go to school without warm clothes or share warm clothes with their siblings who study in different shifts. Two hundred students who live 5 km from the school can register for day school, but their parents cannot afford to pay for lunch; therefore, the school management has to reach out for donor support. The school has no budget to buy blankets or mats for students to rest over the lunch break, and we have 150 donated blankets and 60 mattresses are on the way to the school by mid-January 2024.
After lunch, we went to the coastal village of Phú Lộc to give donations to 40 students in the free class of teacher Trai who could not afford to attend the district school at a young age, nor could parents can not afford to pay for aftercare. Each student in this class received 25 USD, one warm jacket, notebooks, and a pair of sandals.

During the week from the 14th and 15th to of December 2023, the TCF team granted 350 poor students from 7schools in remote villages of Thua Thien Hue province and the outskirts of Hue city.
