Education
The Compassion Flower (TCF) is dedicated to transforming the educational landscape for underprivileged students in Vietnam's remote villages. Our mission is to elevate the quality of education, bridge the gap between rural and urban areas, and empower children to expand their horizons, ultimately enhancing their lives. We take pride in our impactful initiatives, which include:
- Constructing schools from kindergarten to grade 3, ensuring that underprivileged children receive essential education.
- Providing uniforms and bicycles to facilitate daily attendance and support their educational journey.
- Offering scholarships for students at every level, from primary school to university, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their success.
- Enriching libraries in primary and secondary schools across remote villages in Vietnam, fostering a love for learning and access to knowledge.
- Organizing free tuition classes for Year 12 students, equipping them with the tools they need to excel in their final examinations and gain admission to universities or other prestigious institutions for further education.
- Implementing Literacy Training classes for women aged 25 to 50, including survivors and victims of human and labor trafficking, in remote villages of Central Vietnam. These programs boost their self-confidence and self-esteem, empowering them to reclaim their lives.

Healthcare and Social Well Being
Medical aid to tribal people in the highlands and people in coastal villages
TCF is dedicated to providing medical care to remote areas of Thua Thien Hue through their medical mission trips. These trips include both long and short trips, with the Traditional Medical team providing acupuncture and acupressure treatments, distributing medicine, and educating people on health care issues during the 7-day trips. The short trips are mainly carried out by Western medical doctors and nurses, with around 300 patients being served in each 1-day trip. In total, TCF serves up to 2000 patients in all their trips.
Hygiene program in remote villages:
We are proud to have carried out a series of awareness programs and conducted training on various health and hygiene matters for women and children in remote villages. Our efforts have helped the communities see the link between health and hygiene conditions in their area, leading to better health and a better quality of life.
Support the poor, handicapped, and patients
The Compassion Flower is dedicated to helping those in need by paying for medical and hospital expenses. We identify supported patients during our visiting trips, with many coming from remote villages where basic services are yet to be established. While we have budget limitations, we strive to support up to 10 cases per year based on need and priority.
Comfort homeless, elderly, and ailing in remote villages
Our organization has been actively involved in supporting the nursing home for homeless elders since its construction in 2004. In addition to providing monthly food expenses, TCF has also been providing occasional medicines and clothes to the residents. We are proud to be a part of this noble cause and will continue to support it in any way we can.
We are dedicated to providing relief to the poor and ailing who live alone in remote villages. After natural disasters, we visit these individuals to ensure they have proper clothing, blankets, and food to survive. Additionally, we organize yearly winter missions to deliver essential items such as blankets, warm clothes, food, and medicines to elderly individuals in all remote provinces in central Vietnam, including Quang Binh and Quang Nam.
Support the orphanages
At our organization, we believe in making a positive impact on the lives of children in need. That's why we organize visits to orphanages in Central Vietnam. During these visits, we spend a whole day teaching and playing with the children. We also provide financial aid for child sponsorship, medical assistance, and construction to improve their living conditions. Join us in making a difference in the lives of these children.
Disaster Relief
The Compassion Flower team's prompt and effective response to the recurring natural disasters in Central Vietnam is highly commendable. The team's timely distribution of essential items, including instant noodles, rice, clean water-making kits, and warm clothes, serves as a beacon of hope and strength for those affected, facilitating their return to normalcy.
Anti-human Trafficking program
The fight against human trafficking has been a major focus for TCF since 2008. TCF has successfully identified and assisted 4 groups of victims of human trafficking, who primarily come from the coastal areas or mountainous regions of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri. Victims from coastal areas are often deceived by traffickers with false promises and taken to big cities to be sold into prostitution. TCF provides treatment, shelter, and education or vocational training to help these victims rebuild their lives.
TCF's self-empowerment program
The Self-empowerment program has been instrumental in helping trafficked survivors and women in at-risk areas by providing them with the skills to produce recycled bags, blankets, and clothes. The program hires professional tailors to train the women in the art of sewing, which enables them to either apply for jobs in sewing factories or stay with the TCF sewing group to earn money. This program not only provides financial stability but also empowers these women to contribute to their families and communities.
Human trafficking campaigns.
It's important to raise awareness of the dangers of trafficking and to identify the criminals and their victims. It's also important to address the risks of HIV/AIDS transmission, social evils, and human trafficking that migrant workers may face. Keep up the good work in fighting against the issue.
Adult Literacy Training classes.
Education is a powerful tool in the fight against trafficking. We are committed to combating trafficking through education by offering literacy training classes to women in remote villages who lack basic literacy skills, including survivors and victims of trafficking. By empowering these women with education, we are helping them build a future for themselves and their communities.
